Yes, I used cool whip! Though making your own homemade whipped cream is easy so feel free to do that if you’d prefer. Its pretty quick too, all you need to do is wait for it to cool before spooning the filling in the pie crust. You can use a pre-made, pre-baked to make it EVEN easier but I went with a frozen (that had to be baked) because it really makes a big difference in my opinion with flavor. I used a frozen pie crust because, like I said earlier, I wanted this to be easy peasy! She lived a long life though, she lived to be almost 102 years old!! AND only passed away a few short years ago. Cook and whisk continuously for 8-10 minutes, or until bubbly over the entire surface and thickened. They are literally over 60 years old!
